Quarantine Vlog.

Another personal project. I spent a week in government-mandated quarantine because I was a close contact of someone who tested positive. I vlogged my experience for posterity and to share information for those who might be required to go into quarantine, or for those who are interested to see how places with quarantine measures and policies work.

One Second Everyday.

Since 2017, I have managed to keep up the habit of recording one second of my day. I start on my birthday (only a few days off of the new year), so each video is a reflection of my year at that age. This is just a personal project, with not a lot of fancy editing. [I just wanted to show off that I’ve done this for so long]

#StopAAPIHate Reflection

I spent a long time on this deeply personal reflection, and I thought it was worth a share here.

Caption on this post:

With the violence escalating against Asians and Asian Americans and particularly with the Atlanta Shooting, I’ve had so many thoughts bouncing around my head that I couldn’t possibly fit it into an IG caption with a nice photo, so here I am - unedited, unfiltered. I’ve done a lot of thinking about my identity as an Asian American, how whiteness has played a part in my life, and what I’m working on unlearning. I made this mostly for me, as a reflection to remember and grow from, but I hope this helps anyone who needs it. Please visit @stopaapihate and @nextshark to keep informed and engaged about the AAPI community. Also happy AAPI pride month in advance — to quote Sandra Oh, it’s an honor to be Asian. 😘 Love to you all.
